Free sailing taster sessions at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club

By Chew Valley Gazette in Events

Are you looking for a new way to get outdoors and active or find something you can enjoy together with the family? If the answer is yes, Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club is inviting you and your family to come and try sailing for free on Saturday 20 May.

Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, the national Royal Yachting Association “Push the Boat Out” programme is the perfect time to give it a go.

Starting at 10 a.m. on 20 May there will be a whole host of activities taking place including tours around the club, talks and demonstrations about the various types of dinghies sailed, together with an opportunity to enjoy a free 40 minute taster sail on the lake with one of our experienced helms. CVLSC also has a well-established disabled sailing association, CLADS, who are also offering taster sessions on the day. The club’s café and bar will be serving food, drinks and snacks.
